A Chartered Accountant (SA), Dave recently headed up Ernst & Young’s Real Estate Advisory Services business in South Africa, and has extensive experience that spans 25 years in the Southern African property industry. In starting up the Ernst & Young property consultancy within a professional management consultancy, Dave pioneered new strategic initiatives within the Public and Private Sector.
Until recently Dave was retained as an adjunct senior lecturer in the Department of Construction Economics and Management at the University of Cape Town, where initiated the development of their unit for Corporate and Government Real Estate studies. He continues to lecture in a part-time capacity in property management, facilities management, property development and property investment.
During the course of his career as the Group Property Executive for South Africa’s largest petrochemical company, Engen, and more recently as an independent Corporate Real Estate consultant, Dave has built up experience across the South Africa in the Public Sector and various industries within the Private Sector, including Oil and Gas, Telecommunications, Financial Services, and Property Fund Management.
